The sequel to the acclaimed Leica Q camera features a magnesium alloy body housing the newly developed 47.3 megapixel full frame sensor, extremely fast Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH. prime lens, fast autofocus, innovative OLED technology, special weather sealing to protect the camera from dust and water spray and timelessly elegant design.
From its classic design and respected “Made in Germany” quality seal to its integrated Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH (11 elements in 9 groups, 3 aspherical elements) lens that covers a wide range of focal lengths from 28mm to 35m, 50mm and 75 mm, the Leica Q2 transcends the revered story of Leica’s full-frame compact story to new heights.
Thanks to the Maestro II image processor, the Leica Q2 has an 50-50000 ISO range and is capable of shooting up to 10 frames per second.
Leica Q2 sports a 3.68-megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder with a high refresh rate to minimize visible lag. The new eye sensor provides fast switching between the EVF and the 3-inch 1.04 megapixels of resolution TFT LCD.
Handy Q2 features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth LE, optical stabilization for photo and video, 13 stops of dynamic range, 14-bit color depth, a stereo mic, SDXC memory card slot, minimal focus distance of 0.98ft (30cm) + macro focus distance of 0.56ft (17cm), focus peaking and ~370 photos per 1 battery charge.
The Q2 can shoot up to 4K UHD and Cine4K video, a logical upgrade from the FullHD offered by the original Leica Q.
